Milan, Italy – September 2025 – The ECORES WIND consortium convened its third General Meeting on 3rd and 4th September in Milan, hosted by Prof. Gianmarco Griffini and his team at the Department of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering “Giulio Natta,” Politecnico di Milano. Partners from research institutes, universities, SMEs, and industry came together to assess progress and map next steps toward innovative circular resin systems designed to improve the recyclability and sustainability of wind turbine blades.

A key objective of the two-day meeting was to chart the project’s long-term exploitation pathway. META Circularity played a central role by designing and facilitating a dedicated exploitation workshop that brought all partners into an interactive discussion. Led by Jurij Giacomelli of META Circularity, the session guided participants through the identification of the project’s Key Exploitable Results (KERs)—the research outputs with the greatest potential to deliver future industrial and societal impact. Because the ECORES WIND technologies are still at relatively early Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs), META’s tailored methodology helped partners define practical, phased strategies to maximise the value and uptake of these results.

Alongside the exploitation workshop, the meeting featured updates on technical advances in new resin systems, sustainability assessments, and life-cycle analysis, ensuring that environmental performance remains a core measure of success.

The next consortium and review meeting will be held in Madrid, where META Circularity will continue to support the refinement of the exploitation strategy and help the partnership progress toward a more circular wind-energy future.
